First we went to the Signing at the local “Subsect Skateshop.”  I had the whole team sign my Zero Single Skull banner and a Tour poster.

After the Signing, everyone went outside to play some games and win some skate gear.  Some of the games played were an Egg toss, Eating Cinnamon, Eating five Twinkies, and Chugging a gallon of Milk. haha  Quite a few people puked.  It smelled horrible at the end.

Once the games were over, we all went over to the “Skatesouth” skate park.  My friends and I were standing around the car in the parking lot when Jamie Thomas walks over and starts talking with us!  This was a super awesome experience.

Eventually we all went inside and watched the Zero skateboard team shred on the course.  Some crazy tricks went down, including a huge blunt stall-kickflip-fakie (on a vert wall,) and a McTwist on the vert wall!

At the end of the Demo, I was walking out the doors, when Jamie Thomas walks in the door at the same time, with a box full of gear to throw out to the crowd. Jamie then asks me if I want a shirt and if I wear size Medium, which I do!  I said heck yes, and we go back inside for the product toss. Jamie eventually pulls out a Medium sized shirt and begins looking around.  Eventually he finds me in the crowd and tells me to come up the stairs to get my shirt!  That was such a great feeling. I’m really glad that I got one of the Tour shirts! I really wanted to have one.

After the product toss, my friends and I headed to Ames, IA to skate the skate park.  I remember the last time I skated there, I was 14-15 years old..  Back then I kick-flipped the huge four stair, first try, and I also tre-flipped them, but my board snapped.  Josey had all of this on film, but I have no idea if he still has any of it..  I should ask him sometime.

Once we got tired of skating at the park, it was time for us to pack up and head home.  It was a long ass ride, but definitely well worth it!
